JOB DESCRIPTION

The American Business Immigration Coalition (ABIC) seeks to hire a qualified Digital Communications Coordinator to help execute communication strategies with a focus on social media and email communications across our programs. This position is a key member of a fast-paced and growing communications team. The Digital Communications Coordinator will report to the Communications Director with a focus on providing professional, consistent digital content, to help create and push messages across platforms.

 

A strong candidate understands the role of communications and narrative change in moving forward policies at the state and national level. In addition, they will have experience working professionally with major social media platforms and creating engaging, action-oriented email communications. A strong candidate is able to explain complex issues in conversational ways, and is able to tell a story using multiple modes of communication.


To succeed in this position, the individual must be able to manage expectations and meet deadlines, organize and present information, pay attention to detail, maintain confidentiality, demonstrate honesty and trustworthiness and make a solid, positive impact. The new hire must be self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

●       Create, edit, publish and share daily content across social media platforms

●       Write and send timely segmented emails in support of programmatic work

●       Produce SEO-driven content such as blog posts, articles, op-eds, e-newsletter

●       Support other department needs (includes writing, cms, event coordination)

●       Produce social and email reports


 QUALIFICATIONS

●       At least 1-3 years experience in marketing and communications

●       Experience with social media publishing and management

●       Experience with email and contact management platforms such as EveryAction

●       Excellent copywriting and communication skills

●       Comfort and ease advocating for undocumented immigrants, Dreamers and their parents

●       Exceptional communication skills (interpersonal, written, and verbal),

●       Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Suite, and

●       Experience in a fast-paced environment

●       Spanish language proficiency preferred but not required.

Compensation: This position will be full-time. We offer a competitive compensation package. Please note all salaries are commensurate with experience. ABIC also provides an attractive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and standard holidays.
