The role and responsibilities of this new-hire position will focus on three primary areas of organizational need:
1. Grant research and the coordination of company resources required to provide competitive written and verbal response to each potential funding opportunity. Includes the development of proper knowledge and use of advanced analytical skills to identify right kinds of grant opportunities based upon program characteristics as identified by program managers and principal investigators.
2. Coordination of Foundation’s virtual events (i.e., lecture series, prayer gatherings, roundtable discussions, concerts, etc.). Responsibilities include: events announcements and invitations, VC technologies coordination/configuration, post-event video editing to ensure professional presentation of the Foundation website.
3. Coordination of Foundation Board meetings and and annual Membership meeting. Activities include: (1) meeting scheduling, (2) digital distribution of meeting agendas, minutes, and other related documents, (3) interaction with Board Chair and President to ensure proper attention to governance responsibilities, and (4) proper documentation and filing Board meeting video recordings to provide future access as needed.
Desired Skills and Abilities:
- Perform high-quality analysis drawing on a range of knowledge and methods.
- Understand Foundation goals, objectives, and strategies, to then align efforts accordingly.
- Reliably plan and execute the work independently.
- Develop relationships with internal leadership and external partners to assemble qualified subject matter experts and grant writing talents.
- Provide effective tactical management of CMC and Foundation resources to ensure accuracy of funding opportunities and timely responses to grant making organization requests and deadlines.
- Provide thoughtful feedback to management and colleagues, and act on feedback received.
- Provide support to Foundation partnerships and collaborations as required.
