Full-time opportunity to work for lively nonprofit cause group focused on state/church separation and freethought, based in new building in downtown Madison, Wisconsin. Continuing growth keeps us very busy, and we also take time to have fun and celebrate successes in a collegial, casual office.
Manage FFRF’s online shop as part of FFRF’s administrative staff. Provide support for a wide range of activities to help FFRF fulfill its purposes and serve its members.
Reports to the Director of Operations.
Manages all aspects of FFRF online store: Ensure that all orders are processed (using store management software), packaged and shipped daily. Manage back orders and inventory of items for sale; update online store to accurately present items for sale. Work with other staff to produce accurate print catalog. Provide regular reports about sales volume and other results. Research sources of new products and order products to maintain inventory, as needed. Prepare store merchandise for sale at convention, and, if attending, set up sales at convention site. Ship merchandise to convention facility. Responsible for entering non-member store customers as prospective members in CRM software. Maintain and organize store merchandise to ready it for resale; keep shipping area tidy and well-stocked with supplies.
General office support: Assist with direct mail and manage shipping for FFRF including collating, labeling, packaging and posting mail and delivering it to the post office or other mailing service. Assist administrative staff with FFRF events and other occasional projects. Answer phones. Copy and collate materials. Assist with data entry and reporting using membership/donor software. Work with legal staff to ship Solstice displays and banners to local members. Staff reception area when regular staff is absent. Distribute new Freethought Today issues to staff. Input pre-determined messages into digital marquee.
Other: Drop off and pick up mail from Madison post office; pick up store merchandise from various vendors in Madison; pick up and drop off FFRF staff & visitors at Dane County Regional Airport; occasional other errands necessary to the efficient operation of the office. (The FFRF van is available for this purpose.) Other support as needed.
Qualifications: Office experience and familiarity with general office procedures and equipment. Ability to work well as part of a team. Ability to lift 30 pounds. Safe driving record. Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Suite. Preferred: 2-year administrative professional degree, or a 4-year degree, or the equivalent in education and experience suitable for this position.
Must be able to interview and work in person in Madison, Wisconsin. To start by Sept. 3, or as soon as possible. This is a non-exempt position. FFRF is an equal opportunity employer.
