Description

Creativity for Peace, based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, is now accepting applications for an Executive Director who is dynamic, results-driven, bold, and an accomplished leader with outstanding strategic, communication, and fundraising skills. Passion for advancing our mission is essential as is a record of effective collaboration and organization management.

About Creativity for Peace

Creativity for Peace (CFP) prepares the next generation of women leaders and peacemakers in Israel and Palestine. We teach young women the emotional and practical skills they need to become leaders and peacemakers and we support them as they use their skills in the wider world.

Our primary participants are Jewish Israelis, Palestinians living in Israel, and Palestinians from the West Bank and Gaza who are between the ages of 15 and 21. More than 300 young women have taken part in our work since 2003.

Our work is about respecting and mentoring young women and striving to understand the different cultures, faiths, experiences, and beliefs of our staff and participants, who are living in the stress and complexity of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict.

Our programs include (1) a three-week summer intensive; (2) year-round gatherings of various types in Israel and Palestine; (3) advanced training for Young Leaders who choose to make peacemaking an integral part of their lives; and (4) outreach to American youth, including Young Leader speaking tours and a year-long leadership program for New Mexico girls.

CFP’s Executive Director reports to an active, engaged, and diverse 14-person Board of Directors and supervises dedicated staff in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Israel, and Palestine.

CFP’s funding comes from a strong base of individual donors, family foundations, private foundations, and faith communities in New Mexico and across the nation. Besides serving as chief fundraiser, the ED prepares an annual budget of $750,000 approved by the Board and is accountable for the disbursal of those funds over the various CFP programs.

A strong and accomplished Executive Director is needed to advance Creativity for Peace as a leader in its field. It is crucial that we attract and hire an experienced and visionary Executive Director who has the courage to lead, is dedicated to the promise of change, and lives the organization’s core values.
