Role Summary


The Recruitment and Development Coordinator plays a key role in increasing the capacity of both the talent and development teams. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with exceptional organizational and communication skills that is looking to work within a fast-paced organization, making an impact.

Specific Responsibilities


Organization and Planning:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for applicants of all open roles at PCA
  • Manage all the logistics of interview days and on campus development visits
  • Assist in coordinating all Network events, including the annual gala and small cultivation/fundraising events. This includes:
  • Prepare guest lists, send invitations, track registration
  • Coordinate with all event donors and corporate sponsors
  • Create all materials for event use
  • Develop long-lasting recruitment/selection and development systems that can be utilized as the network expands
  • On a daily basis, manage the talent mailbox, responding to messages from applicants, hiring managers, and other stakeholders
  • Maintain up to date records in the applicant tracking system, including updating applicant hiring status, logging notes, and reporting
  • Support the process for collecting applicant references, including follow-up with references and hiring managers
  • Maintain the Network’s donor database, including logging donations and updating donor contact information
  • Plug in, as necessary to support other back office projects and activities



  • Manage communication (emails, mailings, other outreach) to keep Phoenix applicants and supporters informed and engaged
  • Support the applicant interview process, in coordination with network and school-based leadership teams (e.g. interview logistics and scheduling)
  • Maintain and improve the Phoenix website, Facebook pages, twitter pages, and other social media outlets
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator



Overall Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage time and priorities to accomplish multiple vital tasks in a limited time frame
  • A growth-mindset focused on learning and continually improving
  • Comfortable creating rapport quickly with different constituents
