    About the National Black Worker Center

    The National Black Worker Center (NBWC) is a national network of Black worker centers dedicated to empowering Black workers and improving the quality of jobs in key employment sectors. We are seeking a talented and motivated Office & Operations Associate to support our HR & Operations Director in managing various operations, administrative, financial, and HR functions.

    Responsibilities:

    Office Management:

    • Manage office supplies and inventory
    • Coordinate logistics for meetings and events
    • Assist with special projects and general office tasks
    • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence
    • Contribute to fundraising activities and annual events
    • Coordinate vendor relationships
    • Maintain operational processes and procedures

    Human Resources:

    • Assist with employee onboarding, offboarding, and benefits administration
    • Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
    • Maintain employee records and documentation
    • Assist with scheduling employee training and development programs

    Financial Administration:

    • Assist with financial record-keeping, accounts payable, and receivable
    • Track expenses and invoices
    • Support budget preparation and monitoring
    • Assist with financial reporting

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR and operations support, preferably in nonprofits
    • Proficiency in accounting software, spreadsheet applications, and financial management tools
    • Knowledge of non-profit HR, Operations, and Finance
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups
    • Highly detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently
    • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications
    • Ability to adapt to changing situations and interact with all types of people

    Location: Remote, with 25% in-office presence in Raleigh, NC

    Compensation: $45,000 - $60,000 per year
