About the Position

Social Enterprise Greenhouse connects mission-driven social entrepreneurs with the

networks, resources, and knowledge they need to refine their business model, grow strategically, and make positive impact in Rhode Island, and beyond. This role will oversee three programs: 1) SEG’s signature Accelerator program engaging pilot phase social enterprises across all industries; 2) the VISTA Intermediary program supporting 10+ VISTA*AmeriCorps volunteers building capacity at three different Rhode Island nonprofit social enterprises; 3) Internship matching between college students/recent graduates and social enterprises in growth phases in partnership with Universities in the Southern New England region.

We seek a collaborative leader who will continue to build momentum, manage existing programming and network responsibilities, while balancing growth opportunities in accordance with organizational strategy. This position is responsible to further develop and manage the Impact Accelerator, internship and VISTA intermediary programs to grow strategically, meet grant requirements, and align with SEG organizational strategy. This position will be accountable to the COO the following goals:

  • Continue to adapt existing programming activities so they meet the needs of social enterprises;
  • Grow and sustain the Impact Accelerator as well as the internshipand VISTA Intermediary programs;
  • Increase the success rate and impact of social enterprises in Rhode Island.

This is a full-time, Providence based position.

Primary Responsibilities

Grow, Improve and Manage Programs: The Impact Manager will be charged with executing the annual SEG Impact Accelerator, as well as other programs and services that support social enterprises in the portfolio. The Manager will collect, and analyze client feedback and make recommendations for new programs and adjustments. The Manager will ensure their programs align with SEG organizational objectives, track initiative activity and report progress to the executive team and board.

  • Build and nurture relationships: The Manager will be a relationship builder – recruiting, managing and engaging entrepreneurs, volunteer advisors, and partner/funder organizations in across areas of responsibility.
  • Support Fundraising: The Manager will support the executive team in grant writing, individual donor cultivation, and corporate sponsorships to sustain and grow the initiative.
  • Grow Visibility and Support Communications: The Manager will collaborate with the communications team to raise visibility of enterprise development programs and SEG as an


Core Skills & Capacities

1.Exuberant passion for social entrepreneurship;

2. 2+ years of experience in business/entrepreneurship;

3. Demonstrated success (formal or informal) in recruitment or sales via innate

curiosity about others;

4. Works well independently, and collaboratively;

5. Detail-oriented individual who can execute on multiple projects concurrently in

a fast-paced environment;

6. Will to grow and develop as a leader through new opportunities;

7. Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation skills.

8. Strong public speaking skills.

Preferable, but not necessary: Fluency in Spanish.
