Maintenance Supervisor - Programs
Great career opportunity for a hard working hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to oversee staff in supportive housing and scatter site programs.
Duties:Support the Director of Facilities in performing, overseeing and coordinating repairs and maintenance of facilities, operations services, equipment and grounds, across multiple sites in different boroughs. Responsible for the general efficiency, functionality, appearance and safety of the assigned environments. Work as part of a team assigning work orders as directed, ensuring that safety related repairs are the highest priority. Supervise Maintenance Specialists in all aspect of their responsibilities. Interact sensitively with our residents/clients/customers and all internal/external stakeholders.
Qualifications:Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of general carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, landscaping, general custodial practices and mechanical systems; excellent trouble shooting and diagnostic skills + computer literacy (Word, Excel, & web-based work order system)
Education and Experience Requirement(s)
Minimum of four years of similar salaried experience, preferably with increasing responsibility + supervisory experience
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, climb ladders, bend and lift objects of up to 50 lbs. Exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes and noise.
Certifications & Licenses Required
Valid Drivers License in NYS or State of Residence
Associates Degree preferred but not required
Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required
