    About the Pro Se Plus Program Associate (FT, Temporary)

    The Pro Se Plus Program Associate will provide administrative and programmatic support to Masa’s Pro Se Plus project, with a focus on conducting program outreach, providing limited individual case management and referrals, including immigration and social services referrals, conducting intakes and legal pre-screeners, supporting application assistance clinics with the support of immigration attorneys, and providing community education and Know Your Rights Presentations. This position is full-time and is expected to run through August 15, 2025.

    Responsibilities

    • Attend all required trainings and stay abreast of current immigration policies and laws that directly impact the work we are doing
    • Build a relationship with community members, local schools and community-based organizations to promote and recruit participants for the Pro Se Plus Project, including attending community events, tabling and presenting on Masa’s programs
    • Pre-screen community members for immigration and social services
    • Advocate for community members by providing case management support and/or appropriate immigration and social services referrals to partner organization
    • Support Pro Se application assistance clinics with our PSPP partners
    • Assist with translation/interpretation services, as needed
    • Conduct community education and Know Your Rights presentations
    • Collect and enter data from phone calls/ workshops/ screeners/ consultations/ case management and referrals on a timely basis into a variety of platforms including Microsoft Excel, Google Docs, Google Sheets and Salesforce
    • Contribute to funder reports, including providing project highlights and trends
    • Attend Pro Se Plus Project meetings when needed
    • Support in management of Pro Se Plus website
    • Offer volunteer support as needed

    Requirements

    The ideal candidate will possess many or most of the following qualifications:

    • High school diploma preferred, B.A. degree a plus
    • Fluent in written and oral communication in English and Spanish is required
    • 1-2 years of relevant experience in social work/social services preferred
    • Strong administrative and organizational skills
    • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and self-starter
    • Creative problem solving and collaboration skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google suite; familiarity with Excel, Google Sheets and Salesforce a plus
    • Experience working with immigrant and indigenous speaking families a major plus

    Physical demands

    • This position is in-person at Masa’s office, and may require local travel to other settings at times (e.g. schools, Masa community events, etc.)
    • Light to moderate carrying of program materials is required
    • Work schedule includes occasional evenings and weekends
    • COVID-19 vaccination required

    Compensation

    $21/hr, 40 hours/week

    Masa’s benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance; 15 days of paid vacation leave/year; 5 days of paid sick leave/year; 11 paid holidays; and office closure the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day (which does not count toward annual leave allowance).
