Guided Pathways – Support for Youth and Families (GPS) is a King County-based, non-profit, family support organization founded with the support of the King County Department of Community and Human Services, Behavioral Health Division and Recovery (BHRD). Our mission is:
We are families helping families. We empower and support families and youth struggling with behavioral, emotional or substance abuse challenges in navigating resources to achieve wellness and resilience.
GPS is currently recruiting for a young adult between ages 19 to 29 to support, mentor and empower King County youth ages 11 to 24 who are struggling with behavioral, emotional, mental health and/or substance abuse challenges. We strive to build on our youth’s strengths by giving peer support to achieve wellness, recovery and resiliency.
Our ideal Youth Peer brings their own experience, knowledge and understanding of the difficulties that youth may be having and can guide them through life challenges.
Young Adults from historically underrepresented backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.
