Main Purpose of the job:   A member of the WEConnect International executive leadership team responsible for partner and donor engagement; corporate membership; communications, creative direction, and branding; event experience; media and public relations activities and engagement.

WEConnect International has been growing steadily and is now seeking to dramatically accelerate growth. Therefore, the position requires that the candidate is mission-focused, strategic, collaborative, a strong team player, looks for ways to strengthen the team environment and support colleagues and is creative, self-motivated, open to change, and process minded. The candidate should have a strong fundraising background and ability to interact with different stakeholders including corporate members, foundations and governments officials, diverse suppliers, and women-owned businesses from around the world. Therefore, the candidate should have strong communication skills and be able to adjust to the different requirements and cultural conditions of diverse operating environments.

The candidate must be a leader who is able to direct and support others at WEConnect International to deliver measurable, cost-effective results that make the vision a reality. The candidate will build relationships with core donors, foundations, and corporate relations representatives of member corporations. The individual will also lead the creative development and design of events and materials to enhance the organization’s brand awareness, marketing and communication efforts globally. The candidate will lead by example in promoting the organization’s core values.

  • Brand - Build global brand of the organization and support for the mission
  • Budget - Manage the development budget to ensure goals are met or exceeded
  • Committees - Serve on relevant Board committee(s)
  • Communications - Provide clear and timely internal communications to team
  • Culture - Support and maintain a positive and supportive team culture
  • Fundraising - Identify and secure new funding to meet short and long-term goals
  • Grants - Oversee grant and proposal development process
  • Marketing - Guide and direct marketing and communication efforts
  • Events - Oversee event development, execution and follow up
  • Membership - Oversee and support member recruiting and engagement efforts
  • Network - Build and support a network of committed contributors
  • Messaging - Work closely with global team to develop consistent messaging
  • Strategy - Develop and implement a fundraising plan, including public donations
  • Solutions - Develop products and services that maximize our impact
  • Projects - Develop and oversee projects and partnerships that enhance impact
  • Partnerships - Draft new project and partnership agreements to maximize impact
  • Plan - Create a strategic fundraising plan for 2019-2025
  • Policy - Share global and US government policy knowledge, contacts, and context
  • Publications - Oversee publication production, including editing
  • Representation - Travel, speak and promote WEConnect International at events
  • Strategy - Support CEO on the development of 1-3 year strategic plans
  • Website - Oversee development and management of website and social media
