Position Description:


The Resident Monitor is responsible for supporting s healthy living environment for the housing program. The resident monitor will work Saturday and Sunday from 12midnight to 8am Saturday and Sunday, a minimum of 64 hours a month monitoring resident participation in the housing community. She will report to the Program Coordinator of the Reentry Housing Initiative and work with program staff to ensure safety and compliance to program rules.


Principal responsibilities include:


v Monitor residents’ participation in the housing community.

v Ensure the adherence of program rules on a consistent and fair basis.

v Oversee performance of chores and general housekeeping for the facility.

v Maintain a professional relationship with residents and maintain confidentiality of all parties.

v Ensure that the facility is safe and secure during the sleeping hours.

v Assist with house laundry.

v Assist with preparing the rooms for pending move-ins.

v Respond to crisis situation according to guidelines established.

v Perform drug screens upon request of Program Coordinator and if suspicion of client use.

v Other duties as assigned and necessary for successful program operation.




Qualifications:


v One to two years of experience in providing support within transitional living environments for women.

v Experience with administering drug and alcohol screening.

v Experience monitoring medication.

v Experience working with women with co-occurring disorders.

Salary and Benefits:


Salary for this position is 13.25 an hour.
