Business/Partner Developer for Non-profit disability organization – Can live anywhere in US.

National Telecommuting Institute (NTI) is a not-for-profit disability organization which trains and places people with physical disabilities into home-based call center jobs.  We currently place about 500 people per year with employers such as Amazon, John Hancock, IBM, Meijer, and Sykes and with federal agencies such as the IRS, EEOC and Federal Student Aid.

Historically, NTI’s greatest challenge has been convincing employers to hire people who may live thousands of miles from their bricks and mortar call center facilities. The employer must train and manage these agents remotely Day One.

While the percentage of call centers using virtual agents has grown steadily over the past 10 years, the pandemic has dramatically increased the numbers of employers “going virtual” with some or all their agents. NTI seeks help responding to this wealth of opportunities.

We seek a strategic thinker/ business developer/partner manager who will:

Work primarily with NTI’s CEO and Partnership Development Manager – to pursue  current opportunities as well as identify new ones.  Such opportunities may be within commercial call centers, or  may consist of government call center work that has been outsourced to contractors in the commercial marketplace.

Assist as needed in strengthening NTI’s alliances with State Vocational Rehabilitation Agencies, the Social Security Ticket to Work program, and a national network of disability organizations seeking to increase work opportunities among those with significant disabilities.
