$48,256 - $60,450$29-31/hr DOE; 32 - 37.5 hrs a week (exact hrs negotiable in this range)

Position Summary: Program Director:

The Program Director is the key leader of FOCS family supports, responsible for overseeing the administration, implementation, and strategic growth of FOCS family programs and parent support groups. The Program Director will supervise fully or partly 1-2 core staff, temp Parent Educators, intern(s), and contractors. The position reports directly to the FOCS Executive Director. This position is remote until King County enters phase 3 or 4 of Washington's Safe Start Plan.

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversees FOCS programming management, contracting of Parent Educators (PEs), Teaching Artists and supervision of contractors, volunteers and interns
  • Tracks and manages contract details and project progress, including budgeting, scheduling and reporting of all FOCS programming
  • Coordinates with Board and Communications staff to develop and implement marketing strategy and promotions to grow programming outreach and participants.
  • Manages and leads FOCS PE trainings 
  • Recruit, supervise, and nurture PEs
  • Responsible for all reporting under grant that supports parent groups and programs
  • Develops and updates FOCS internal policy with respect to Parent groups (in consultation with ED and staff)
  • Manages parent group grant planning + implementation 
  • As needed, supports the organizational development and staff training and supervision per FOCS and the Executive Director’s capacity building plan.


The Program Coordinator will support the Program Director with admin and scheduling.

  • Experience with Seattle/King County education and economic systems, as well as BIPOC-led and BIPOC-centered CBOs
  • Experience with maternal health, perinatal, parenting systems, and supports
  • Prior experience with project management, supervision of staff, contractors, and interns
  • Strong anti-racist principles, fluency and understanding of intersectionality of race and disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and other systemically marginalized identities
  • Good communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Superior time management, verbal & written communication skills
  • Work experience showing progressive growth and responsibility
