Vermont Legal Aid seeks a full-time CFO to work in its Burlington office. The CFO is responsible for the overall financial operations of a large non-profit law firm with over 70 employees and an annual budget of $7.5 million. Must be able to analyze financial statements, projections, and critical financial matters, and clearly communicate results. Duties include responsibility for: grant and contract compliance, reporting, and budgets; organizational cash flow and forecasting; annual budgeting and planning in conjunction with the Executive Director; leading the annual audit and Form 990 preparation and filing; and oversight of human resources, as well as supervision of accounting and HR staff.

Level of Language Proficiency
Qualifications: Minimum of a four-year degree in accounting or related field; advanced accounting degree (MPA/CPA) preferred; minimum of eight years of experience in accounting and/or financial management, preferably in a non-profit setting; demonstrated proficiency with Excel and MIP or equivalent fund accounting software program.
