No Bully is building its team to combat the bullying epidemic that each day impacts the lives of thousands of youth. Based out of San Francisco, our new Director of Communications will set and guide our strategy for all communications, website, social media, public relations, and collateral. Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Communications works closely with the development team, the school outreach team, and our board’s Marketing & Communications Committee, to drive the following organizational goals

1.    Raise awareness of No Bully and the bullying epidemic that we face

2.    Position No Bully as the thought leader and "go to" place for media and other influencers

3.    Accelerate inbound traffic from educators interested in bringing the No Bully System® to their schools

4.    Help propel engagement of strategic partners, corporate sponsors and donors to stand with us in our cause


·      Create, implement, and evaluate a strategic communications plan

·      Develop the No Bully website and establish a strong No Bully social media presence

·      Initiate and direct impactful campaigns to make online and face to face bullying uncool and unacceptable through e.g. Bullying Prevention Month (October) and through giving counsel and creative input on the bullying prevention campaigns that we launch with our partners 

·      Provide communications direction and support for the Power of Zero campaign

·      Manage the writing, design, distribution, and maintenance of all print and electronic collateral including newsletters, brochures, campaign collateral, school marketing and donor outreach

·      Manage all PR and media contacts, keynotes, conference and speaking engagements by the Founder/CEO to position him as an international thought leader

·      Track and measure success in meeting key KPIs


No Bully is seeking an outstanding Director of Communications who has at least 10 years of communications experience. The ideal candidate has worked at a communications agency with non-profits as clients or held an in-house leadership role, covering areas such as website content, newsletters, campaigns and donor communications. The ability to take knowledge and transform it into clear, consistent and dynamic messages, and disseminate it to our target audiences through the best distribution channels is critical. Applications encouraged from candidates who have demonstrated effective outcomes when working with education audiences, parents and youth.

Specific requirements include:

·      Experience in developing communications strategies

·      Agile in building brand identity and capitalizing on brand assets

·      Excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills

·      Ability to effectively and strategically engage with the ever-changing digital media landscape.

·      High energy, maturity, and leadership with the ability to serve as a unifying force to position communications at both the strategic and tactical levels

·      Sincere commitment to working collaboratively with our constituent groups, including staff, board members, volunteers, donors, program participants, and other supporters

·      Self-starter, able to work independently

·      Enjoys creating and implementing new initiatives and campaigns

·      A clear commitment to No Bully’s mission of eradicating bullying and cyberbullying globally
