About Camps at deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum

DeCordova runs 2 camps each summer. The Hive runs from July 5-August 5, 2022 (5 weeks, 56 campers and 15 staff members each week). Summer Studio for Teens runs from August 8-19, 2022 (2 weeks, 10 campers and 5 staff each week). Both experiences are inspired by art in the Museum, in the 30-acre Sculpture Park, nature on deCordova’s campus, and each participant’s creativity.

THE HIVE is designed for children ages 5-12 who are curious about the world around them and interested in exploring nature and contemporary artistic ideas through energizing collaborations. The goal for each uniquely themed week is to design and construct large-scale installations in the Park.

SUMMER STUDIO FOR TEENS offers a space for students ages 13-16 and to refine and expand their artistic skills as they dive into theme-inspired projects. Each session offers opportunities to learn practical artistic techniques, create meaningful connections, and develop confidence in each student’s own unique artistic voice.
