The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Family Assistance has awarded Seedco $10 million over 5 years to continue its Strong Fathers, Stronger Families Program (SFSF), which Seedco has operated since 2011. The program will help low-income fathers in New York City enter and succeed in the workforce while developing closer relationships with their children and partners. Strong Fathers, Stronger Families provides fathers with job preparation, placement assistance, and help with career advancement. At the same time, the program supports fathers in the process of building stronger, more meaningful relationships with their children, co-parents, and partners. 

The Job Developer establishes meaningful relationships with employers who will hire SFSF program participants into full-time jobs. The Job Developer will then work with those employers to support the retention and advancement of Seedco-referred employees.



1) Place 8 SFSF participants into full-time, permanent jobs each month

2) Develop meaningful partnerships with employers who demonstrate a commitment to the professional advancement of entry-level staff

3) Use networking events, social media, cold-calling and emails to establish employer relationships

4) Devise marketing materials to promote SFSF employment services to employers

5) Use Labor Market Information and trade publications to gain expert-level knowledge of target job placement industries

6) Facilitate job readiness workshops that incorporate regional and national occupational and Labor Market Information

7) Use Jobzology, an online predictive analytics portal, to help identify career pathways that align with SFSF participants’ vocational values and workplace interests

8) Document participant and employer interactions in real-time


1) Strong written and verbal skills

2) Comfortable working with both small and medium-sized businesses

3) Self-driven and goal-oriented

4) Must be comfortable cold-calling; professional phone demeanor

5) Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

6) Must be comfortable establishing new relationships with local employers

7) Must be able to think critically and solve complex problems with no obvious solution

8) Willing to perform new tasks and take on new challenges


  1. Travel to community and employer partners is required
  2. General work will be performed in an office environment
