Part-Time Overnight Shelter Support

Assist homeless people part-time between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m. at our newest 10-person overnight shelter. This is a great opportunity to gain direct service experience in social services.

The On-Call Overnight Shelter Support person ensures that clients are treated in a way that is consistent with our foundation; an emphasis on fairness, honesty, dignity, and respect. The position has a primary responsibility for the safety, security, and order within the overnight shelter and the immediate area outside of the Shelter.

Operation Nightwatch is a 501(c)3 in Seattle that works to reduce the impact of poverty and homelessness by keeping with Jesus' teaching to love your neighbor.

Essential Job Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma
• Experience: Experience working with people who are homeless and/or prior security experience
• Other Qualifications: Ability to work well in a chaotic environment. Communication skills as evidenced by the ability to express self clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• Vaccination against COVID-19: Required for all employees.
