Responsibilities

  • Build out programs and teams to reach targets to reduce violence.
  • Lead and inspire the team to improve performance on outcomes.
  • Advocate and marshal the resources needed to improve performance on outcomes.
  • Support street outreach workers to reach difficult to reach at-risk individuals.
  • Equip, support, and hold direct service staff accountable for performance.
  • Develop necessary direct service staff competencies: youth engagement, implementation with fidelity, outcomes attainment, and data measurement and learning.

Competencies

  • Clearly articulate the organization’s mission and how the work of the team advances it in a way that energizes the team.
  • Analyze individual youth, caseload, and team-level data to identify and address
  • growth areas for staff members.
  • Coach and guide direct service staff to optimize their engagement with each young person. This could be based on their own deep experience with youth relationships and how to motivate youth and help them overcome obstacles.
  • Prioritize among multiple complex problems and engage team members as appropriate in solving them.
  • Identify, access, and deploy the resources necessary to support frontline staff activities and development, including targeted professional development to improve team performance.
  • Ensure high quality implementation of programs and strengthen the organizational systems used by the team.
  • Build relationships with program partners, communicating mission and strategy persuasively to build agreement among diverse stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Advocate for, develop, and deliver strategic funding, partnerships, and high caliber staff to operationalize program strategy.
  • Give and receive candid and constructive feedback.
  • Make tough personnel decisions when staff are unwilling or unable to improve, so that the organization can meet its commitments to youth and other key stakeholders.


Qualifications

  • 3-6 years of relevant experience.
  • BA or BS required, Masters degree preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Suite and Google Suite, ability to learn our case management software.
  • Must have reliable transportation, be able to drive a car, and have appropriate auto insurance coverage, and a valid driver’s license.
  • Proof of vaccination required. Our staff is 100% vaccinated.
