Rate of Pay: $18/hr


Spark is looking to hire motivated, dedicated, and experienced Respite Workers. In this role, you’ll be working with children and youth in the community living with autism spectrum disorder, varying mental illnesses, and/or behavioural challenges. Your role is to go in, and have fun with the client! If you love getting paid to do fun things, this is the role for you.


Care is tailored to each person, so each position is unique. Some clients need mainly in-home support. Others require support participating in community activities. Whatever the circumstances, we want people who will genuinely care about their wellbeing.

  • Valid First Aid and CPR level C certification
  • Smartphone with a data plan
  • Criminal Record & Vulnerable Sector Check (within the last 12 months)
  • Experience working with individuals with ASD and aggressive behaviours
  • Access to a vehicle to transport clients to and from activities in the community is a bonus


  • CPI and/or NVCI training
  • University or College education in a related field
