Opportunity Summary

Young Audiences Arts for Learning (YA) seeks a motivated, hands-on professional with experience in the area of arts education programing, partnerships, and assessment to assume the role of Director of Strategic Partnerships and Network Relations.  The position will be responsible for the implementation of strategic partnerships amongst the YA affiliate network and the field at large. The ideal candidate is a highly organized professional, an excellent written and verbal communicator, with a deep enthusiasm for education and the arts. Overall, the position will take on the operational aspects of guiding and facilitating a network of over thirty YA affiliate organizations.


Duties and Responsibilities

In conjunction with multiple departments and reporting directly to the organization’s National Executive Director, duties and responsibilities may include:

·        Breadth and depth of knowledge and experience in the field including YA affiliate network educational initiatives, initiatives of excellence in the field at large, and an understanding of programs of promise in related fields.

·        Serve as a liaison between YA affiliate executive leadership and YA affiliate staff in general.

·        Coordinate and spearhead educational YA network gatherings to include YA’s annual National Conference and annual leadership forum and other professional learning opportunities as developed

·        Develop and implement strategies and opportunities to build and sustain the capacity of the YA affiliate network in such areas as leadership, teaching artist development.

·        Directly assist in fundraising efforts to sustain and develop programs and professional learning opportunities throughout the national organization and the affiliate network.


Qualifications

·        A Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred

·        8+ years of relevant experience in an education or arts education setting.

  • Demonstrated excellence in artistic and/or educational pursuits.
  • Excellent time management, organization and professionalism.
  • Exceptional background and experience utilizing technology for data tracking, communications and assessment.
  • Proven editing, writing, and research abilities; strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously.
