DESCRIPTION:

The Parkinson’s Foundation is seeking a goal-oriented and self-motivated professional for the position of Manager, Strategic Initiatives. The Manager plays an important role by providing direct project support to the Vice President, Strategic Initiatives and the Foundation’s Chief Operating Officer (COO). This position is open for an office-based position in Miami, Florida or New York or as a remote position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following.


  • Work on projects that are aligned with the strategic priorities of the organization.
  •  Research, synthesize and assemble content used in the preparation of internal and external reports and documents and external outreach.
  • Support the planning, development and implementation of projects and materials (e.g., slides, summary reports, memos, email communications, etc.) related to strategic partnerships and collaborations, internal Foundation initiatives and programs, internal and external meetings, presentations and more.
  • Help support day-to-day internal and external communications including those with Foundation partners, external healthcare stakeholders, and others to foster strong relationship management and quality and timely operations
  • Supports management of deliverables for internal and external (e.g., partnership) projects to include reports and coordination between internal staff and teams and external partners, healthcare professionals and leadership and staff as needed
  • Prepare and distribute communications, presentations and other documents that can be, at times, confidential in nature.
  • Communicate directly, and on behalf of the Vice President and/or COO to other PF staff, volunteers, strategic partner organizations, program leads, and others as requested.
  • Perform related work as required.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree required with study in health/healthcare related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two years relevant work experience; consulting background, strategy, and/or project and client management experience preferred.
  •  Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong research skills and ability to synthesize information and highlight key findings and takeaways in written and presentation/slides formats.
  •  Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams while being adaptable and flexible in planning and supporting development of high-quality project deliverables.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to liaise with all stakeholders, including staff, external partners, volunteers, senior leadership and others.
  • Superior organizational skills that reflect ability to work independently and perform and prioritize multiple tasks and competing demands with high attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency required.
  • Demonstrates the organizational values of excellence, teamwork, collaboration, integrity, positivity, dedication and responsiveness

COMPENSATION:

Salary for this position is competitive and depends on prior experience. In addition, a comprehensive benefits package is included.
