Business Manager/Bookkeeper Job Description

The Business Manager/Bookkeeper is responsible for working closely with the Executive Director to maintain highly organized and efficient administrative processes and oversee the bookkeeping/financial functions of the organization. This position is expected to exercise sound judgment in completion of all duties.

Reports to: Executive Director                      Location: Amnion, Drexel Hill administrative office

Status:  20-30 hours per week, part-time position

Responsibilities 

1)   Oversees general bookkeeping for the organization; maintaining all accounts, managing online and credit card donations and statement reconciliation.

2)    Oversees procedures for payroll and payment of bills on a timely basis as advised by  

 the Executive Director.

3)    Provides monthly financial reports and other reports as requested.

4)    Serves as support for the Executive Director

5)    Oversees maintenance of filing and storage systems.

6)    Supports staff by providing Information Systems management. Interfaces

 with IT Network Server Administrator (Computer Consultant) as the onsite IT

 Manager.

7)    Oversees upkeep, repair of office machines and replenishing of office equipment and supplies  with Executive Director’s approval.

8)   Keeps a schedule of office volunteers and assigns appropriate volunteer jobs as their areas of ability and interest are identified.  

9)    Assists in planning and execution of Amnion's major fundraising events: Run/Walk for Life, Annual Banquet, etc.

10) Participates on the Finance Standing Committee.

11)  Seeks opportunities to grow both personally and professionally.

Qualifications

1)    Committed follower of the Lord Jesus Christ.

2)    Agrees with and willing to uphold Amnion’s Mission and Vision,  Statement of Faith and all other foundational statements and policies of the organization.

3)    Exhibits strong commitment and dedication to the sanctity of all human life.

4)   Willing and able to function as a member of the Amnion team by performing the requirements of this position with excellence, as well as contributing to the overall health and growth of the organization.

5)   Works individually and as a team player, honoring relationships within the ministry  

 and the community.

6)    Experience in setting up and maintaining office files and financial records systems.

7)    Demonstrates proficiency with computer skills, QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite

 and ability to quickly learn other software applications.

8)    Maintains a positive attitude.

9)    Respects confidentiality.

10)  Ability to understand and respond wisely to the needs of those outside of one’s own experience.
