In this senior leadership role, assure sound fiscal management of the organization’s resources by:

·        maintaining complete, accurate, timely and reliable financial records;

·        developing and implementing goals, policies and procedures relating to accounting, internal controls, and financial reporting; and

·        partnering with the leadership team and program and department leaders to increase their financial management skills and to support resolving their business issues.

Ensures that all accounting, financial reporting, planning, analysis and financial compliance needs of the organization are met, and that the annual budget and audit processes are completed timely and accurately. Supervise the finance staff of accountants, (including accounting manager and real estate finance consultant, grant manager, office manager, and payables assistant - and will be responsible for HR activities including employee benefits, retirement plan compliance and reporting, corporate insurance, and related activities.

The position is part-time (24 hours/week).


A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and a minimum of eight years of comparable nonprofit experience in organizations with diverse public-sector funding and contracts. Advanced degree (MSA, MBA, or CPA) is desirable.The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter possessing excellent leadership, communication, and technical skills with successful prior management experience and strong ethics.
