Job: eFiling Services Coordinator

Reports to: Director of Court Advocacy

Classification: Full-time, exempt from FLSA; Participation in 24-hour hotline rotation as primary and/or back-up staff as assigned; other evening and weekend hours may be required.

Salary: $37,000 annually. Additional pay for overnight hotline shifts.

Position Summary: The eFiling Services Coordinator position is a full-time position implementing and overseeing the agency’s domestic violence protective order eFiling protocols and providing direct services to victims of relationship abuse. The eFiling Service Coordinator is also responsible for program database management.

Additionally, Compass Center is the only Orange County resource for comprehensive domestic violence crisis services. Compass Center is also closely connected to Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools, offering sexual health programming and empowerment programs related to safe relationships in middle school health classes.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Protective Order eFiling System Coordination in Orange County:

●       Serve as the liaison between Compass Center and key community partners related to eFiling systems and processes.

●       Develop and maintain positive and strong professional relationships with community agencies to meet victim needs.

●       Maintain documentation and statistical records related to eFiling services. 

●       Responsible for training staff on the eFiling System.


Domestic Violence Direct Services and eFiling:

●       Provide daytime and overnight coverage for the domestic violence hotline. 

●       Offer direct assistance and follow-up services to victims of domestic violence over the phone and in person.

●       Serve as a liaison between victims and victim service providers related to eFiling.

●       Accompany victims to civil and criminal court as needed.

●       Maintain proper documentation of client contacts.


Documentation Quality Assurance:

·      Oversee client database system, maintain the system, build forms and reports and troubleshoot challenges.

●       Review client contact database entries and provide feedback to staff and volunteers for accurate future documentation.

●       Coordinate training for volunteers and staff on database usage.

●       Coordinate the development and maintenance of agency resource material related to database documentation.

●       Create, prepare and maintain reports and ensure accuracy of reports as needed for the agency.

●       Primary contact for staff questions and concerns related to database documentation. 


Administration

●       Responsible for the preparation of monthly programmatic report(s).

●       Timely and consistent attendance at staff and program meetings.

●       Responsible for participating in the on-going maintenance of a clean, organized and welcoming facility and environment.

●       Participate in the recruitment and training of volunteers

●       Other activities as assigned by supervisor.

 Qualifications:

●       Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree preferred, though relevant experience will be considered

●       Minimum of 6 months of experience providing services to victims of interpersonal violence or other crimes, working with an underserved population or working in the justice system or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

●       Training in intimate partner violence direct services and advocacy and trauma-informed care preferred.

●       Demonstrated commitment to anti-racist work

●       Experience with or interest in managing electronic systems (working with eFiling software, video conferencing, etc.)

●       Experience with or interest in managing database systems, creating reports and building forms.

●       Fluency in spoken and written Spanish and English preferred.

●       Ability to work effectively as a team member.

●       Ability to perform job duties with a high degree of initiative and professionalism; demonstrated sound judgment, patience, and outstanding communication skills.

●       Ability to work effectively with and appreciate people of all backgrounds.

●       Possession of a valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and reliable vehicle preferred.
