About the role - Grant Writing & Compliance Lead

The main focus for the Grant Writing & Compliance Lead will be supporting our government grants, both the securing of them and the detailed reporting. In addition, we expect the Lead to pitch in on other development team needs, whatever they may be, and where your strengths lay. 

This role has a wide range of responsibilities related to grants and contracts administration, including creating systems for tracking goals and data, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, preparing reports, assisting with budget development, and additional administrative responsibilities.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Manage the development and submission of proposals for large government and institutional grants including gathering detailed information from the SPP team and partners to assist with drafting narratives, budgets, and other required submission documents, securing necessary approvals and submitting completed proposals on time
• Establish policies and procedures for managing all aspects of grants and contracts, including startup, renewals, amendments, modifications, closeouts, audits, reporting, etc.
• Manage government contract compliance to ensure all contract requirements are met through the provision of reports (quarterly, biannual, and annual), procurement documents, work scopes, budget documents, contract processing, and maintenance
• Attend training and professional development to remain current on contract requirements.
• Perform other contract and development duties as assigned.

What You'll Need 

• 5+ years of professional experience (we are background agnostic and are excited by candidates with unique and different work histories).
• Experience working on government (federal, state, city, philanthropic) grants is highly desired.
• Project management experience with the ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Demonstrated comfort and fluency with Excel and numbers generally. Enjoying these will be vital to enjoying this position.
• Salesforce experience is a plus.
• The ability to handle multiple deadlines and complete assignments with minimal supervision in a fast-paced workplace.
