Who we are looking for:

ASCO is seeking a high-performing and multi-task oriented Program Coordinator to support the Guidelines and Measures Division of the Policy and Advocacy Department. The selected candidate will effectively coordinate guidelines and measures-focused projects and provide administrative assistance to division committees, advisory group, and panels while engaging with ASCO volunteer members. If you are looking to combine your project planning, organizational, and administrative skills in a rewarding role, then we want to hear from you!

What you will do:

  • Coordinate division processes including permissions, contracts, web content, and scheduling meetings
  • Arrange meeting logistics including meeting and conference call times, onsite set up, catering, AV, and invitations; and serve as onsite staff support including taking meeting minutes
  • Provide administrative support to the Clinical Practice Guidelines Committee, Guideline Advisory Groups, Measures Steering Group and Measures Panels, and Guideline Panels; and communicate and collaborate with volunteer members
  • Assist with systematic reviews by obtaining articles and extracting data
  • Provide data checking assistance to the Guideline Specialists
  • Participate in streamlining and continuous quality improvement initiatives and in the standardization of processes related to systematic review and clinical practice guidelines and measures development

What you will need in order to be successful in this role: 

  • Bachelor’s degree Science, Health, or a related field
  • 2-3 years plus administrative/programmatic experience, working in a medical-related non profit is a plus
  • Excellent MS Office skills; experience with a project management system is a plus; and a willingness to embrace new technology
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and to complete a high volume of work and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to proactively anticipate needs
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with broad audiences
