We are looking for an energetic and creative Program Coordinator to join the New Products Team and work with multiple departments to help sell, market, coordinate and execute new programs and classroom resources at Close Up. This is a multi-faceted position that requires great writing, packaging, and networking skills, as well as a strong interest in education and knowledge of government and Washington, DC. We are looking for a proactive, motivated individual who can develop strong relationships cross-departmentally, differentiate Close Up’s classroom resources and programs from competing programs, and help with product development, marketing initiatives, and management of custom school accounts. To succeed, you must be outgoing, independent, and detail-oriented, enjoy traveling, and have excellent people, writing, organizational and phone skills.


You will:

  • Work with teachers, administrators and community leaders. You will help young people in our country increase their civic awareness.  
  • Learn Close Up’s products and offerings. You’ll passionately promote these products and be able to sell their benefits.  
  • Tackle the competitive student travel market. Your focus will be to maintain current relationships with our existing customer-base, drive new sales, and expand partnerships.
  • Strategize and implement plans to expand into the market. You’ll help identify the best ways to reach new prospects.


Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with two or more years of experience in education, sales, marketing or related field. Individual must have strong skillset in customer service, excellent written and oral communication, organizational ability and interest in inspiring young people to be active citizens. Must enjoy speaking with diverse constituencies, including business leaders, educators, parents, and students.


Candidates will be required to travel frequently. Salary plus bonus.
