Under supervision of the Program Director, the Group Facilitator/Case Manager will provide develop and implement group workshops and trainings, schedule presentations, and facilitate individual, group and family counseling. Some caseload consisting of counseling/case management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following but are not limited to:
Facilitate rapport and/or relationship via weekly case management sessions and/or any other activities deemed appropriate. Provide a positive role model of confidence, trust, support, assistance, and reinforcement necessary to assist clients with the identification and understanding of their problems and knowledge of various methods of addressing them.
Perform duties related to outreach and supplemental services including the implementation and ongoing operation of support groups, outreach efforts in the community and services, etc.
Be available for crisis intervention, information and/or referrals for services as necessary. Observe, monitor and evaluate the progress and /or interactions of the clients and relay the information as appropriate. Observe all matters pertaining to client confidentiality. Ensure that clients understand and abide by the rules and procedures and follow-up on problems and/or violations as indicated or directed.
Must be energetic and able to empower and motivate clients while fostering a desire for self-improvement.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors Degree (Preferably with a focus in Social Work/Human Services)
Knowledge of HIV/AIDS population.
Experience conducting workshops, trainings and presentations.
Ability to empower and motivate clients.
Bilingual- English/Spanish a plus.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to clients, and other employees of Food First, Inc. and subsidiaries.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Level of Language Proficiency
Candidate should be bilingual: English/Spanish.
