ROLE SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director, Talent Operations, the Coordinator, Talent Operations at UnboundEd plays an important role supporting cross-functional, core work in the areas of Talent, Organizational Development, and Operations. The Coordinator, Talent Operations position will also directly support the Director, Talent Operations on various projects and initiatives, and assists in both day-to-day operations and routine Talent-related inquiries from colleagues across the organization. This is an ideal position for a detail-oriented individual looking to develop a broad skillset and experiences across Talent and Operations in an education non-profit setting.

UnboundEd is a virtual organization and this employee can be based anywhere in the United States. UnboundEd has core business hours where we expect all staff to be available from 10 am to 6 pm ET and occasional travel will be required once it is safe to travel again given the current COVID-19 pandemic.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

Administrative and General Support

  • Supports Director, Talent Operations and hiring managers with recruitment-related responsibilities including vetting resumes, conducting phone screens, job postings, prepping interview materials and guiding candidates through the hiring process
  • Maintains a regular calendar of team meetings and master project plan of projects across the Talent team, and where applicable cross-functional meetings between the Talent, Finance, and Operations teams
  • Owns and manages internal UnboundEd newsletter including organizing and creating content
  • Creates, edits, or updates meeting agendas, and shares meeting notes with identified next steps
  • Updates project management systems/documents according to status
  • Organizes and maintains the Talent team’s document organization in Google Drive and other organizational systems (e.g., Dropbox for personnel files, I-9 documentation, etc.)
  • Conducts research as needed for Talent, and other initiatives as needed (e.g., research the best applicant tracking system platforms and associated costs)
  • Assists the Talent team with a variety of HR generalist tasks, including personnel requests (e.g., verification of employment requests), performing clerical duties, and responding to colleague inquiries
  • Assists with logistical support of the employee onboarding and separation process (e.g., send links to onboarding plans, coordinate scheduling for onboarding sessions, etc.) as needed
  • Leads the creation of administrative systems and processes, and conducts background checks as necessary
  • Other related duties and projects as assigned

Data and System Account Management

  • Ensures the creation and management of employee system user accounts and personnel files for new employees
  • Answers questions via email, phone, or Slack and helps troubleshoot any technology access issues related to talent systems (e.g., benefits enrollment platform, Small Improvements for performance feedback platform, etc.)
  • Enters information into our human resources platform, Justworks, and compiles a variety of reports and analyses to facilitate personnel actions and HR functions (e.g., ensure minimum wage compliance, effectuate pay rate changes associated with promotions, implement correct employment classification changes, etc.)
  • Assists with regular maintenance and auditing of Justworks
  • Assists with adoption of new systems/data platforms that streamline HR/Talent processes (e.g. adoption of a formal HR Information system, a new applicant tracking system (ATS), etc.)
  • Maintain various HR/Talent related accounts updated and current (e.g., various job boards, ATS, social media platforms, etc.)

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • One (1) year of professional experience, preferably in a support role within the K-12 education industry and/or Talent/Human Resources
  • Other equivalent combinations of experience, training and education will also be considered

Benefits

UnboundEd offers competitive salaries commensurate with experience and education, and a generous benefits package that includes take-as-you-need vacation and sick time, group medical, dental and vision plans, disability and life insurance plans, and an employer-sponsored 401K retirement plan with an annual 3% match. This is a full-time, non-exempt, hourly position with a pay rate of $28.85 - 43.27/hour.
