    Description

This is an amazing, international teaching opportunity for this school year, working with our small non-profit educational organization in the beautiful coastal town of Cabrera, Dominican Republic. Due to a sudden change in class organization, we are urgently recruiting one more lead teacher for the upcoming school year beginning Sept 2nd (start date is flexible if teacher cannot arrive until the end of September).

This position is for a kindergarten teacher working in a class along with a bilingual assistant teacher who has one previous year of experience working with our organization. The hours are Monday to Thursday from 8:15am to 3:00pm and Fridays 8:15am to 12:00pm.

This small, family-run, non-profit is focused on providing low-cost to free education to local children and youth in Cabrera. Therefore, this is not a big money making opportunity or a job where you'll be setting savings aside. This is an opportunity to give back, make a difference and have a life changing adventure. However, the salary of 35 000 pesos a month will allow for comfortable living here in Cabrera for the time of your stay. Assistance or coverage of the cost of flights will be offered if applicant is able to arrive before Sept. 15th.

This is a 10 month contract from September 1st, 2024 (roughly) to June 1st, 2025, with the opportunity to extend if both parties agree.

Applicants MUST be native English speakers and hold a university and/or college degree. Must have some experience working with children, preferably in a classroom setting. A teaching certification is ideal but not required.

If you are ready for an amazing, life-changing adventure, this is your opportunity. We will happily provide references from past and present teachers who have been in your shoes, and who took the leap.
