Harbor House is seeking an experienced, dynamic individual to provide advocacy, support, crisis intervention, safety planning and lethality assessments to survivors of domestic violence residing in the emergency shelter.
Education and Training: Minimum of an undergraduate degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field is required. Professional experience may be substituted for formal education at the discretion of the Chief Executive Officer.
Other Job Requirements: This position requires knowledge of case management skills, the ability to provide effective and immediate crisis intervention for clients, and to facilitate support groups. Basic to intermediate computer skills and a clean driving record required. Must attend a 3-day training to become CORE certified prior to working with survivors.
Experience: A minimum of one year of crisis intervention experience preferably in a domestic violence program.
**Both full time and per diem (no set schedule) positions are available.
