Position Objective:

This key role works closely with members of the Operations and Development teams to manage a wide range of gift processing, data, and system needs.

This position is responsible for Salesforce gift entry and monitoring integration related processes via Salesforce, which will include analyzing gift and commitment information, and documentation, following the most up-to-date IRS guidelines to create, maintain, and update Salesforce gift entry records as well as manage the entry of all constituent data changes. Under the direction of the Director of Technology, this position will also support cross-departmental data functions on a variety of platforms to ensure smooth donor and constituent experiences.

A person with a keen eye for detail, a systems-oriented mind, and an ability to work independently while maintaining high levels of communication will thrive in this role.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage gift entry process using Salesforce Batch Gift Entry to manually process checks, and monitor integrated data sources. Ensure accurate allocation and detailed data capture for all gifts.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the differences among cash gifts, stock donations, pledges, pledge payments, and what information needs to be tracked within the system for these.
  • Understand complex relationships between various integrated platforms (Form Assembly, Classy, Hubspot, and others) and monitor the flow of data into and out of Salesforce.
  • Build and monitor reports, dashboards, and list views to monitor data integrity and support cross-departmental staff data needs. Use advanced features including mass record editing and batch uploading tools for efficient data processing.
  • Assist in fostering a foundation-wide understanding of data infrastructure. Provide assistance and training to staff when required.
  • Provide cross-departmental data and systems support including program registration, peer-to-peer and special event platform data administration, grant administration, etc.

Competencies:

  • Excellent generalized computer skills, with a strong grounding in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience working in Salesforce NPSP, Classy, Hubspot, Form Assembly and related platforms a big plus
  • Must be able to work independently and handle confidential matters with appropriate discretion. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to organize and balance numerous tasks simultaneously. 
  • Be willing to think through and understand “big picture” data ecosystem while also managing small data details.

Travel (if applicable):

Limited travel to support foundation events may be required (when safe to do so).

 Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
  • Prior experience working in the nonprofit field
  • Salesforce certification or Trailhead Ranking, a plus but not required.

 Work Environment:

This job operates in a remote professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, photocopiers and fax machines.
