Position Overview

NYC Housing Partnership (www.housingpartnership.com), a leading affordable housing nonprofit in New York City is seeking an administrative assistant to provide general administrative support in the marketing department. The administrative assistant will assist in facilitating the marketing, lottery compliance, and tenant selection activities of affordable housing units in the organization’s portfolio.

Responsibilities

·        Respond to inquiries from the general public and provide relevant project information via phone or email

·        Field and direct phone calls, emails, mailings, and faxes from applicants, to Marketing Managers

·        Coordinate with Marketing Managers to prepare initial and follow-up emails and mailings to applicants

·        Maintain mailing and postage logs and other applicable filing systems

·        Input and maintain updated information in large databases comprised of applicant information

·        Additional position related responsibilities as assigned/ needed

Qualifications

·        Professional and courteous demeanor and excellent communicator

·        Self-motivated, demonstrates initiative and work ethic

·        High level of attention to detail

·        Excellent word processing abilities and writing skills (i.e. prepare/review documents with correct grammar, spelling and presentation)

·        Ability to complete consistent high quality work in a fast paced environment

·        Excellent organizational, and multi-tasking skills; Ability to prioritize work and meet multiple deadlines

·        Proficiency with Microsoft Windows operating system, Word, Excel and Outlook programs

·        BA / Associate Degree required

·        Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus but not required

·        Notary public a plus

·        Authorization to work in the U.S. required
