Food For Free is a non-profit organization that improves access to healthy food within our community by rescuing food that would otherwise go to waste, strengthening the community food system, and creating new distribution channels to reach underserved populations.
We envision a future where everyone in our community—regardless of age, income or ability—has consistent access to fresh, healthy, delicious food.
Summary
Food For Free is hiring a full-time (or part-time) Development Coordinator. This position can be either 30 or 40 hours/week, and reports to the Development Director.
Food For Free is a small, community-based nonprofit that relies on and cherishes our donors. We try to give our donors a level of attentiveness above what they might expect of an organization our size. In the last year, the number of donations to Food For Free has tripled, making this goal both more challenging and more important.
We’re looking for someone who knows that good data supports great donor stewardship. The ideal candidate will have great database skills, solid professional writing chops, and the ability to provide great donor support.
Note: During the pandemic, we encourage staff to work from home as much as possible, but this position will require frequent—several times a week—trips to our office at 11 Inman Street to scan checks for deposit.
