Role Summary

We are seeking an energetic, team-oriented individual with exceptional organizational and communication skills to join us as our Annual Giving Specialist. The Annual Giving Specialist is responsible for supporting and strengthening current annual giving donor relations, renewing and upgrading annual giving gifts and growing the Partners overall annual giving program creating a pipeline to major gifts.

What You’ll Do

 

Overall

In collaboration with the Director of Development and Communications, the Annual Giving Specialist plans, manages, measures and reports on all aspects of the Annual Giving Program and is responsible for meeting annual donation goals for donors who contribute below the major donor gift level.

 

The Specialist develops and implements strategy for direct mail and electronic fundraising, annual giving donor communications and cultivation efforts, and fundraising, cultivation and stewardship events.

  •  In collaboration with the Communications Specialist write, edit, and manage the creation of compelling materials for donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship, ensuring that donors receive professional and timely information regarding the impact of their philanthropy
  • Work closely with the Communications Specialist to develop engaging messaging that communicates the work and impact of each program to donors and volunteers.
  • Designs campaigns to target specific audiences, placing an emphasis and discipline on campaign performance to help with recommendations for future programs.

 

Fundraising Events Management

Provide overall management for two annual fundraising events:

·        Recruitment, management, retention and recognition of event committee

·        Logistics development and management

·        Sponsorship, attendee and donation solicitation

·        Manage day of event activities

·        Analyze and report results

·        Provide appropriate stewardship to all donors           

 

Donor Data Integrity, Mining, and Reporting

  • Enter gifts daily into the donor database and create and circulate daily gift reports;
  • Research annual giving donors to identify potential major gifts prospects; 
  •  Enter new constituents, reports of calls, contacts, and new contact information into the donor database; 
  • Research and write comprehensive impact reports and donor acknowledgements;
  • Assist with the organization of department files and archives; and
  • Other duties that support the needs of the department, as assigned.

Manages Portfolio of midlevel prospects and Donors

What We are Looking For:

  •  Ability to build strong, collaborative relationships, and to foster mutual trust and respect.
  • Skill at translating ideas and concepts into clear, concise materials that are compelling and engaging for a range of internal and external audiences.
  • BA/BS
  • Aptitude for learning and adapting to new technology, with experience using software and applications including Constant Contact, Microsoft Office Suite, and social media platforms and gift processing software, and donor databases
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in development, annual giving, fundraising event planning, or development administrative support
  • High professional and ethical standards for handling confidential information;
  • Energy and desire to join an evolving and growing organization and contribute to a healthy, engaged culture.
  • Able to take initiative and work proactively, yet enjoy working as part of a team
  • Commitment to Partners mission and values.

 

This is a full-time position. Occasional nights and weekends required.

 This is an exciting time to join the Partners Development and Communications team. The team is currently completing strategic plan goals and writing the development and communication plan for FY23. This is a great opportunity for a development professional to join Partners and help grow the organization’s reputation, reach and impact.

This position is a full-time exempt staff position. Partners offers employee benefits including a health plan, vision, dental, family leave, life insurance, and retirement plan with matching contribution and has a generous paid time off policy.

 

The salary range is $60,000-$70,000 and is commensurate with skill level and experience.

 

Partners is currently remote with one day expected in the office. This will change as COVID workplace guidelines change. A hybrid schedule will continue for the foreseeable future. All staff receive a monthly stipend of $50 for internet and cell phone.
