Since 1985 Freedom from Torture has been the only UK human rights organization dedicated to treating and supporting torture survivors who seek refuge in the UK. We do this primarily through psychological therapies but also services which document torture forensically, practical legal and welfare support and creative groups.

Thanks to the dedication of our staff and volunteers – as well as thousands of passionate supporters and funders – thousands of torture survivors have been able to rebuild their lives in incredibly difficult circumstances.

Freedom from Torture offers a medico-legal report writing service (MLR Service) and psychological therapy to survivors of torture in our five national centres.

We are looking to recruit a Medico-Legal Reports Administration Team Leader for a maternity cover in our London centre. The MLR Administration Team Leader is responsible for ensuring efficient and effective administrative procedures are in place to assist in the production of medico-legal reports.

The role includes recruitment, training and supervision of administration staff, setting up admin systems to ensure the smooth running of the admin function throughout the MLR service as well as supporting co-ordination of MLR administrative functions between London and the various national centres.

For an informal discussion about the post, please contact Dominika Flindt, MLR Team Leader, on 020 7 697 7772.
