Senior Ride Nashville


Position Description - Responsibilities and Requirements:Senior Ride Nashville is a growing nonprofit in metro Nashville meeting the transportation needs of seniors by providing affordable, assisted rides given by volunteer drivers from our communities.  Senior Ride Nashville is seeking a Program Manager, an essential and foundational position to our Senior Ride team.  This key team player ensures our daily operational success through running and overseeing the ride assistance program and the volunteer program, reporting directly to the Executive Director. Principal responsibilities are listed below, and special tasks may also be assigned by Executive Director or the Board. This position is a salaried exempt position of 40 hours per week.

 

Program Manager Responsibilities:

Ride Assistance Program Management

·Schedule all rides with high level of accuracy and oversight

·  Maintain and improve database that supports the day to day operations of Senior Ride Nashville

·  Organize and update all records, files, policies and systems related to the call center and ride service, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and security

·  Manage services adhering to program policies and funding levels

·  Contact senior riders for initial services and follow-up, including required assessments, reassessments and program evaluations

·  Fill in on occasions for a volunteer driver

·  Record and manage program budgets, reporting and grant compliance

· Collect and organize requested data for growth and problem-solving

·  Submit required data for monthly, quarterly and annual reports, and other information for funders, program participants and the community to Executive Director in a timely manner

· Participate in program development, strategic planning and fundraising activities

·  Treat all with respect and adhere to Senior Ride Nashville policies concerning Title VI and HIPAA

 

Volunteer Management

·  Recruit, screen, and train new volunteer drivers

·  Support and supervise regular volunteer drivers

·  Regularly evaluate program volunteers and operations

·  Develop volunteer recruitment and retention plans for the continued expansion of the corps of volunteers in collaboration with the Executive Director

·    Contact and present to churches and community groups about the SRN program

·   Help coordinate volunteer recruitment and recognition events

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

· A degree from an accredited college or university, or comparable experience

· Minimum 1-3 years of related experience

· Experience working with older adults and/or volunteers preferred

·Experience in providing social services, volunteer coordination and nonprofit program management highly desirable

· Must have a personal vehicle and a valid Tennessee driver’s license and pass criminal and driver background screenings

·  Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point

· Computer database experience and skills

· Work cooperatively and communicate effectively with a diverse group of staff, clients, volunteers and stakeholders

·  Communicates clearly and comfortably both verbally and written
