Rooted Program Coordinator

The Oakland Fund is hiring a Rooted Program Coordinator to support Rooted, our educator housing initiative focused on making affordable housing more accessible for Oakland educators.

This is a highly collaborative, mission-driven role that sits at the intersection of housing, education, community engagement, and operations. The Coordinator will help manage the day-to-day operations of Rooted’s housing marketplace, support educator participants through the leasing process, build relationships with housing providers and school communities, coordinate events and outreach, and contribute to the growth and evolution of the program.

We are looking for someone who is organized, thoughtful, people-centered, and excited to work across operations, relationship management, communications, and program development. Strong candidates will bring excellent communication skills, sound judgment, comfort managing many moving pieces, and a deep commitment to supporting Oakland educators.

Experience as an educator or working closely with school communities is strongly preferred.

Salary range: $65,000–$85,000, depending on experience. The Oakland Fund offers a competitive benefits package including 100% employer-covered health, dental, and vision insurance, PTO, and retirement savings options.
