The HRCSCC Services Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in the coordination of our SSP operations. The role involves direct outreach, supply management,  volunteer coordination, and collaboration with other service providers. This position is also key in maintaining ongoing connections with our participants and advocating for their needs to be met within the general organization. The coordinator will also work with the Medication-Assisted Treatment Navigator to connect participants with MAT and other medical services onsite. The Services Coordinator will join a team of 5 staff members, including a full-time SSP Coordinator who will be key in training and onboarding this role. The position is funded for at least 2 years, and is likely to exist in the organization indefinitely. 


Responsibilities: 


  • Facilitate a team of volunteers in order to ensure adequate volunteer presence at outreach
  • Coordinate with other staff to maintain supplies and prepare them for outreach
  • Lead outreach in person
  • Lead and facilitate workshops for participants 
  • Work with MAT Navigator to connect participants with MAT and other medical services
  • Maintain coalitional relationships with other service providers and community organizations
  • Develop new connections with other service providers
  • Collect ongoing participant feedback and advocate for its incorporation into our policy and projects


Qualifications:


  • Competency in both English and Spanish is required
  • Competency in using Google Sheets/Docs or Microsoft Excel/Word
  • Lived experience with drug use is preferred but not required
  • Commitment to and passion for working within a harm reduction framework built on intersectional anti-oppression values
  • Possess a valid California driver’s license and/or a reliable method of transportation
