Passionate about community outreach? Want to bring our films to faith communities across the country? Apply now to be the Program Manager for the Brave New Faith Partners program!

BRAVE NEW FILMS (BNF) is a nonprofit, founded by Director Robert Greenwald in 2004, that champions social justice issues by using media to motivate, engage and teach civic participation that makes a difference. Our content aims to inspire action on criminal justice, economic justice, immigration reform, racial equity, and youth leadership. BNF distributes films far and wide through multimedia and grassroots channels to reach new audiences, start conversations, shift attitudes, and disrupt the mainstream narrative.

Brave New Faith Partners (BNFP) is one of three outreach and screenings programs at BNF and is focused on growing our audience among faith communities. Relatively young, this program has already facilitated hundreds of free screenings hosted by faith communities, faith based organizations, and campus ministry groups

We are seeking a Program Manager for BNFP. This position requires an organized, outgoing individual who can engage comfortably in a variety of undertakings - from logistics to communications to external relations - with faith partners that are looking to use our films as tools to spark conversations and action. The Program Manager will maintain relationships with our existing network, as well as bring significant expansion to the program, with a current focus on growing awareness of the program and creating strategic relationships with other organizations. This role requires creativity and resourcefulness in implementing outreach plans and activities as well as discretion in managing network relationships. The candidate must be a self-starter who is able to multi-task, take initiative, and problem solve

Responsibilities include:

* Ensure day-to-day running of program which includes registering screenings, sending out resources, responding to email inquiries, maintaining database of contacts, collecting audience and host feedback surveys, and tracking data on outreach effectiveness;

* Engage regularly with current BNFP network to maintain relationships, offer new films and resources, encourage screenings, and facilitate conversation among partners through newsletters, email blasts, and social media campaigns;

* Produce reflection guides and other resources to accompany film packages;

* Design and implement strategies to expand the program and reach new faith community audiences;

* Attend conferences, local meetings, and events to spread awareness of the program, facilitate sign-ups for screenings, and develop new relationships;

* Track progress towards goals and report periodically on progress.

Qualifications:

* Passion for social justice and progressive politics;

* Experience working with a faith-based organization;

* Ability to work with diverse religious, racial, and geographic communities;

* Comfortable engaging with people of faith, in traditional and non-traditional spaces;

* Demonstrated interest in using film for education, advocacy, or organizing;

* Strong interpersonal, relational, and communication skills;

* Self-starter who is a proven team player with a positive attitude;

* Excellent time management and organizational skills with ability to multitask, adjust priorities as necessary, and meet deadlines.

* Must be based in Los Angeles
