Bethesda Cares, Inc. is in search of a self-starting, mature, and experienced human services professional to work on the streets engaging persons experiencing homelessness and coordinate successful referrals for supportive housing placement. As a housing-focused outreach program, all engagement is intended to build trusting relationships and confidence with clients to raise their level of care beyond street homelessness. Candidates with 4+ years of experience in homeless services delivery and Housing First systems are highly encouraged to apply. The candidate must be able to work with a variety of personalities, be punctual, keep promises made with persistent follow up, and have experience working intensively in one-on-one relationships with clients to provide support. Knowledge of Housing First practice, mental illness, substance abuse is expected. Documentation, updating client files and submitting paperwork for client identification and benefits are part of the administrative duties.
