At IWPR, we believe social and economic mobility in the United States is determined and influenced by race, ethnicity, class, gender identity, sexual orientation, and other markers of difference. Since fall 2019, IWPR has more than doubled its organizational budget and revenue, increased its impact in the field, and launched exciting new programs and initiatives focused on building the long-term economic security of women and families. Within the next year, IWPR plans to double its staff and develop a strategic operations to manage its growth.
IWPR seeks a full-time Senior Director, Human Capital and Growth Management to serve as a strategic partner and advisor to IWPR leadership and staff on a wide-variety of mission-critical human resource policies, procedures and personnel practices. They will be responsible for building a strong human resources infrastructure and department and help center gender and racial equity and center in IWPR’s internal policies and practices.
The ideal candidate is a dynamic, highly organized, experienced, and collaborative leader. They are a seasoned human resources professional with deep experience with organizational development, change management, and employee relations. They will have the energy and ability to innovate, collaborate, problem-solve, and champion change within the organization and across departments. They will also have the ability to exercise a high degree of integrity, confidentiality, and judgment; and the ability to inspire trust and be trustworthy.
This position is based in Washington, DC and is full-time, exempt. The Senior Director, Human Capital and Growth Management reports to the Chief Operating Officer.

Education and Experience
10+ years related experience in human resource management and organizational development within a non-profit organization. A Master’s degree or equivalent experience/expertise in human resource management or a related field. Human Resources Certification highly preferred (SHRM-CP, PHR, or SPHR).
This position is classified as an Administrative IV position in IWPR’s compensation program. The salary for the Senior Director, Human Capital and Growth Management is $102,000-$120,000/year and will be commensurate with experience.
