About Global Citizen:

Global Citizen is a movement of engaged citizens who are using their collective voice to end extreme poverty by 2030. One of the key ways we can grow that movement is through the editorial content on GlobalCitizen.org and its accompanying channels: stories, videos, and social media that bring the important human rights issues of the world to readers where they are. This is journalism with a purpose — content creation to help make the world a better place for all.

So far, 24.8 million actions have been taken by Global Citizens, leading to $48.4 billion commitments being made by world leaders, which has affected 880 million lives to date.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development, maintenance and monitoring of network systems, hardware, software and operating systems which includes knowledge of firewall, routers, performance monitoring, cybersecurity applications, and hardware such as Cisco, Dell, HPE, etc. Some knowledge with ISP tiers and bandwidth optimization would also be recommended.
  • Work to develop processes and features within SaaS systems (Asana, Salesforce, GSuite, Slack, and more). 
  • Research and implement new systems to meet evolving needs.
  • Perform data audits, design security processes, respond to data issues, and continually monitor our compliance with GDPR and other relevant data regulations and security best practices.
  • Resolution of Help Desk requests submitted by end users to the Help Desk system
  • Configure laptops, desktops, phones, and other devices in accordance with end-user requirements

Requirements:

  • At least 3-5 years of professional experience in a fast-paced, start-up or nonprofit environment, technology role.
  • Experience working with cloud-based software; comfort learning new software systems quickly. 
  • Customer service orientation, including approaching problems with curiosity and providing clear, timely updates.  
  • Discretion, with the ability to maintain confidential employee and organizational information.
  • Experience with Cisco and G Suite technology and infrastructure required
