Pilobolus seeks a warm and curious individual for the position of Development Associate starting immediately. Position Summary:


To support and execute activities involved in Pilobolus’s donor relationship management—from our broadest audience base to our innermost core of supporters and board members. Duties including, but not limited to: coordinating fundraising activities, including individual giving, institutional giving, and special events; coordinating development opportunities with marketing and communications, artistic and educational programming; coordinating donor prospecting, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship; all in support of Pilobolus’s mission to produce uniquely inventive artistic and educational programs.


Supervised by and works closely with Director of New Programming; interacts daily with staff members in artistic, production, and financial management, as well as all others on the staff of 15, as well as multiple casts of performers and technicians.


Specific responsibilities include:

-Donation processing

-Database management

-Donor membership program management

-Prospect and donor relationship management

-Board support: distinct hospitality for board members; board meeting & committee meeting coordinating, including scheduling, correspondence, preparing materials and presentations, and coordinating recording of minutes

-Institutional Giving: Coordinating grant calendar, advancing paperwork, and submitting applications

-Events: Producing small cultivation events and supporting large fundraising events

-Research: Researching foundations, peer organizations, and other programs in the field; researching individual donor prospects

-Financial: Entering income and expenses into budget trackers; reconciling expense reports

-Archival: Maintaining and updating Pilobolus’s development documents, files, and archives

-Programmatic: Attending various company programs, such as performances, special events, and educational programs, at times during evenings and on weekends

-Liaising with freelancers related to the above activities, such as event managers, grant writers, and consultants.

-Other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

-Minimum 4 years professional experience in development

-Current driver’s license and confident driving ability
