Senior Billing/Accounts Receivable Analyst

Responsible for critical billings and analysis of billings and accounts receivable functions.

Provide quick and accurate work for analysis, reconciliation and billing for all foster care, Medicaid, Managed Care, ACS, DSS and other areas as needed.


Duties and responsibilities, including & not limited to:

  • Balance care days reports (foster care) monthly to ensure accurate billing
  • Work with program on a constant basis to ensure all claims submitted intact & timely
  • Prepare, print and submit claims electronically or by certified mail for all payers—including Medicaid, Medicare, Managed Care, Private, County DSS and other funders
  • Follow-up for collection of bills submitted to all Carriers/funders to conclusion
  • Prepare Claims Inquiry Form’s (CIFs), appeals, Payment Dispute Resolution ‘s (PDR) and statements to justify payment, completing forms and providing documentation
  • Prepare completed monthly aging reports and participate in reviews—have knowledge of any problems and plans to obtain timely collection. Must have required back up documentation available.
  • Audit claims for Medicaid, Medicare, Managed Care, Private and County billings on a monthly basis.
  • Perform timely maintenance of A/R master schedule for GW Billings & Payments and other A/R audit and aged schedules, as determined by the agency
  • Maintain monthly Stipend payments – reconcile with Agency and GL
  • Month end closing— reconcile all schedule to GL to close.


Qualifications:

  1.    BA/BS degree, or a satisfactory equivalent of education and/or experience
  2.    Minimum 3 years’ related experience
  3.    Experience in Medicaid collections
  4.    Must possess excellent computer skills.  MS Office (Excel, Word and spreadsheet application)
  5.    Patience, tact and a positive attitude toward MCOs, Medicaid staff, state and federal agencies
  6.    Must be familiar with computerized accounting systems
  7.    Ability to perform quantitative/mathematical analysis
  8.    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Time management, analytical and organizational skills.
