Job Overview:

The Office of Advancement & Alumnae Relations of St. Jean Baptiste High School is currently looking to fill the full-time position of Advancement Specialist. The right candidate is someone committed, collaborative, flexible, extremely organized and highly detailed-oriented. The Advancement Specialist is part of the Office of Advancement & Alumnae Relations and is a newly created position to support the expansion of fundraising efforts. The position will mainly focus on: 1) grants management, 2) cultivating and stewarding relationships with our alumnae community, and 3) organizing and tracking scholarships.

Tasks include prospect researching, filing renewal paperwork, drafting proposals and letters of inquiry and submitting complete proposals online or via mail. Additional responsibilities consist of tracking scholarships, student recipients, organizing student thank you letters to donors and maintaining relationships with these scholarship donors. Lastly, the position will support fundraising and cultivation events for donors and alumnae.

The Office consists of a Director and two part-time Advancement Associates. The School’s culture is highly collaborative, with many projects involving cross-departmental input. The Faculty and Staff are a group of very dedicated people committed to the education of young women and to ensuring that we give our students the skills needed to excel in college and beyond. We believe in empowering young women and helping them find and develop their voices. We work hard, we work well together and we do it while maintaining a great sense of humor!

Manage Grants – both current and prospective ones

Oversee Scholarship Awards

Cultivate & Steward Alumnae Relationships
