Job Title: Adaptive Cycling Center Coordinator (Seasonal Program Coordinator)

Job Summary: Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the Outdoors for All Adaptive Cycling Center (ACC). Outdoors for All has an adaptive cycling center from which it offers daily cycle rentals Tuesday through Saturday. Individuals with disability use a variety of cycles; from tandems, foot pedal trikes, standard cycles, hand-cycles, mountain bikes, and therapeutic cycles. The ACC coordinator works to support all cycle rentals, 1:1 lessons, group cycle rides from Magnuson Park, cycle demos, learn to ride lessons and programs, as well as supports the maintenance of the cycles. Responsible to: Cycling Program Manager


Responsibilities:

  • Act as the designated staff representative at the Magnuson park Adaptive Cycle Center and rental program.
  • Coordinate adaptive cycle rentals including, rental scheduling, customer service, equipment fitting, cycle instruction, and maintenance.
  • Assist Program Staff in the delivery of other adaptive cycling programs, such as custom events, group rides, learn to ride camps, and others as needed.
  • Coordinate facilities, vehicle and equipment logistics to insure quality customer service for internal and external customers.
  • Facilitate equipment rental programs, including program promotion, responding to rental inquiries, equipment set-up and maintenance, rental confirmations, and program evaluation.
  • Act as program office primary receptionist during scheduled office hours to greet visitors, answer office phones and respond to general program inquiries. Respond in a positive and friendly way to customer inquiries.
  • Provide support to the program office for general office administrative tasks including data entry, filing, processing mail, and maintaining administrative supplies.
  • Assist Program staff with seasonal staff and volunteer trainings, including materials development, planning, and delivery.
  • Coordinate risk management issues related to programs to ensure that safety remains Outdoors for All’s priority.
  • Assist Program Staff in the maintenance of recreational equipment (including cycles, climbing, paddling, and other gear)
  • Drive Outdoors for All vehicles for the delivery of direct service and programs.
  • Be a positive representative and promoter of Outdoors for All programs, events and activities in our community.
  • Comply with Outdoors for All safety and health policies and procedures.
  • Participate fully as a member of the Outdoors for All staff team.
  • Other duties as identified.


Qualifications

  • Specific experience maintaining cycles required.
  • Experience working in a cycle shop and/or rental shop preferred.
  • Experience working with individuals with disability a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills.
  • Ability to assist in the maintenance and repair (or willingness to learn) of Outdoors for All adaptive equipment and facilities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours; must be able to work weekend schedule
  • Savvy with MS Office software including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Some database management a plus.
  • Ability to lift and carry and carry a minimum of 40lbs including adaptive cycles and other sports equipment.
  • Exhibit high level of energy, enthusiasm and initiative.
  • Commitment to a positive, fun and team-oriented working environment
  • Valid Washington State Driver’s License; must verify own auto insurance.
  • Current First Aid card and CPR training (or willingness to obtain within 14 days).
  • Clear background check and driving record in good standing


Pay Rate $15 - 20 per hour

Status: Seasonal; non- exempt. Employment approx.

Hours: 40 Hours per week, Tuesday - Saturday

Start date: April 1, 2018 – September 30, 2018
