POSITION DESCRIPTION

This full-time position reports to the Program Manager. Program Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of the Fall Prevention and Critical Repair Programs. This program provides home repair services to low-income homeowners with a focus on fire and fall prevention, as well as more in-depth home accessibility modification services. The Program Coordinator works in collaboration with staff members, skilled volunteers, volunteers, and vendors to ensure quality services are delivered to clients.

Responsibilities include being the main point of contact for seniors and families seeking home repair services. S/he will help clients navigate our application process, work with them to schedule repair appointments, and will follow up with homeowners after repairs are completed. Role includes close contact with case/social/care advocates on behalf of neighbors to coordinate fall prevention and critical repairs.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Resident Services (60%)

·       Responsible for processing all client applications, including review of client qualifications and phone screenings

·        Field incoming calls from applicants and program recipients (clients). Provide assistance with questions about applications and refer callers and clients to other services in the community as appropriate

·        Support the overall coordination and success of Fall prevention and Critical Repairs

·        Identify and assign volunteers and/or vendors to specific repair projects in a timely manner

·        Work with Program Manager to communicate with volunteer installers to ensure completion of projects

·        Correspond with homeowners as necessary on project timeline, paperwork, scope of work

·        Input client data into CRM System, Track repairs and vendor info in relation to client services

·        Input CHIPPS Applications into SalesForce

·        Track warehouse equipment inventory and share with Program Manager

Outreach (15%)

·        Develop and maintain partnerships with key stakeholder (case managers/ social workers)

Rebuilding Days Support (15%)

·        Collaborate with program staff to ensure the success of Rebuilding Days, Team Builds by coordinating day of logistics.

·        Identify pre-Build Day residents on regular basis. Share pipeline with programs team monthly

Volunteers (10%)

· Adhere to volunteer management policies & procedures

· Create and manage a consistent and sustainable Volunteer Recognition plan to recruit, retain and recognize volunteers 

· Organize annual volunteer appreciation event

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

·        Associate Degree and/ or 3+ years of office experience

·        Self-Starter with strong time management skills to meet daily/ weekly deliverables

·        Ability to quickly and positively establish rapport and gain confidence and credibility with neighbors

·        Strong customer service mindset with effective and diplomatic, yet supportive communication style with volunteers who provide and need varying levels of support

·        Ability to be flexible and adaptable, and maintain professional decorum

·        Excellent problem solver with attention to developing and improving RTSF programs

·        Ability to excel in a team-oriented environment and desire to work deeply in the community

·        Impeccable organizational and project management skills, significant attention to detail and follow-through, ability to work on multiple tasks in a growing and changing environment

·        Valid CA driver’s license and willingness to drive

·        Pass a background check and fingerprinting

·        Must be flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends throughout the year, particularly in preparation for National Rebuilding Day (February-April) and Team Build projects

Though not required, the following are helpful skills and experience for the position:

·        Experience with Salesforce Database Software

·        Bi-Lingual (Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin)

·        Knowledge of service area, specifically the neighborhoods of San Francisco
